Darlington Amal

Darlington Amalgamated CWU branch covers areas of County Durham and North Yorkshire from Crook in the north to Leyburn in the south.  Our operational area is coterminous with neighbouring Cleveland and Durham branches with whom many common issues are shared.

Darlington is one of eleven Postal Branches throughout the North East which extend from Tyneside to South Yorkshire.  Typical of many mail centres, Darlington is situated on a mainline railway station between London and Edinburgh.  Travel time from London Kings Cross is two and half hours.

Travel by road is best done using the nearby A1M.  Northbound travellers should leave the motorway at J57 and enter town via the A66 whilst soutbound travellers should exit at J59 onto the A167.  Durham Tees Valley Airport (formerly Teesside International) is approximately five miles to the east on the A66.
